Food Copywriting With Impeccable Taste
There's no shortage of food copy out there. Unfortunately, most of it sounds the same. ‘Artisan’, ‘premium’, ‘carefully crafted’… words worn so thin through overuse you can almost see through them.
I write differently, because I work differently.
I'm Will, a Bristol-based food and drink copywriter with 20+ years' experience and a background as a trained chef. I've written packaging, brand voice, websites and campaigns for M&S, Sainsbury's, The Newt in Somerset, Westcombe Dairy, and plenty of others.
What I Write
Packaging and back labels. Brand voice and tone of voice guides. Website copy. Marketing emails and campaigns. Tasting notes and product descriptions. Menu and hospitality copy.
Why It’s Different
I trained as a chef before becoming a copywriter. I know why fat carries flavour, what properly aged cheese tastes like, and the difference between a tasting note that makes you thirsty and one that makes you reach for the price tag. That knowledge is in every word I write.
Sure AI can generate food copy, it just can't taste anything. If you want words that understand your product from the inside out – let's talk.
